Roush Europe Launches the Ford GT based 600RE

Ford might have finished the GT's career but that doesn’t seem to bother the tuning-world. So after the Edo Competition GT, Roush Europe came out with a super-limited edition of Ford’s retro-looking supercar, available in just 10 units from “Avro Motor Cars” based at the historic Brooklands site in Surrey. Dubbed 600RE, Roush’s black-beauty boasts a number of features including an engine upgrade raising power and torque (though Roush doesn’t give any figures) along with a few subtle visual improvements like the sexy black powder coated rims. –Press Release after the jump

Colagno To Celebrate Ferrari’s 60th Anniversary With A Limited Series Bike

In commemoration of Ferrari’s 60th anniversary, Colnago will introduce a limited series bike at the CHINA CYCLE show held in Shanghai from May 4-7. Dubbed "Colnago for Ferrari", the bicycle is based on the Colnago Extreme Power frame, completely made in carbon fibre and assembled through lugs. The bicycle will feature the classical red livery, symbol of the ''cavallino rampante'' house, and on the front a stylized Italian tricolour flag. This is not the first time that Colagno has created a bicycle for Ferrari, as the relationship between the two began about seven years ago with the introduction of the Ferrari-branded CF1. Note: The bike in the photo is not the commemorative "Colnago for Ferrari" but the CF4

Transformers: Build your own Chevrolet Autobot

Chevy’s marketing love for Transformers is moving up a level with the launch of a new website dedicated to Autobots. You can choose from a series of Chevy models (Avalanche, Aveo, Cobalt, Equinox, HHR, Impala & Silverado, but unfortunately, not the Camaro…) and customize them; theoretically speaking cause, to be honest, we got quickly bored and let it go. As for our Jalop friend’s quest for the perfect Decepticon, we wouldn’t look towards the Mustang but to Toyota; now there’s a true-blue enemy… Via: Jalopnik , Source: Chevrolet

2009 VW Passat Facelift Rendering

Although it’s way too early to be talking about a redesign since the 6th generation Passat was only launched two years ago at the 2005 Geneva Show, nevertheless it’s quite interesting to see what the German press has to say about it. Autozeitung believes that VW will proceed to a facelift in 2009 –most probably at the 2009 Geneva Show, with aesthetic changes including a redesigned front end inspired from the upcoming Tiguan. Mechanic-wise, the German magazine suggests that VW will substitute also present the Groups new 122Hp 1.4TSI in the range which will also include 1.6, 2.0 and 3.2 V6 engines. –Continued below

We’ll agree with Autozeitung that the most possible launch date for the hot-selling in Europe, Passat is spring 2009, however, we think that VW will replace the Passat’s normally aspirated 1.6FSI and 2.0FSI engines with the Group’s new 122Hp 1.4TSI and 160Hp 1.8TFSI motors. We also think that the engine substitution will occur quite earlier, maybe even in this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Lancia Musa Getting Ready For a Facelift

Seen here undergoing testing in Italy, Lancia’s redesigned mini-MPV will be officially unveiled at the forthcoming Frankfurt Show in September. Like its Fiat Idea counterpart, Lancia’s Musa is exactly what we’d call a commercial success in Europe. The facelift comes about 3 ½ years since the Musa debuted at the 2004 Geneva Show and it’ll include an overhaul of both ends (bumpers & lights) along with a revised interior. According to our info Lancia is also considering adding Fiat’s new 120Hp 1.4 Turbo engine in the Musa’s range. –Continued after the jump

Bentley Continental GT’s Very... Light Facelift

And when we’re saying light-facelift we really mean it; as Car Magazine who posted up the pics characteristically notes, “only those with a magnifying glass and an anorak will notice the differences”. So, once you get your Sherlock Homes toys together and compare current version and scoop pics you’ll just end up with a subtlety redesigned front bumper with a new mesh detail and repositioned air intakes. That’s it? Well, according to Car we should also expect a slightly redesigned rear bumper, a new set of alloys and mild changes in the interior. Via: Car Magazine
