Volvo XC90 By ERST: Swedish SUV Gets Japanese Treatment

Ever heard about ERST before? Don’t be shy to admit it, we hadn’t. Turns out that, just like Heico Sportiv, Evolve and IPD, ERST is tuning house that specializes on Volvo. What makes ERST special though is the fact that it’s based in Japan. ERST’s latest offering concentrates on soccer mom’s best pal, the facelifted XC90.

The Japanese tuning house’s package consists of a bodykit that includes under panel attachments on both bumpers, front fog light fins, chromed exhaust pipe and most importantly, wider fender flares. Along with a set of sexy, bi-color alloy rims and a lowered suspension, the Volvo XC90 looks aggressive without going overboard or bling-bling. -More images after the jump

Holy Hoons! 79-year-old Broughton Bishop responsible for “Portland Icy car crash”

I’m sure that most of you remember the Icy Car Crash video that we posted a few days ago featuring a series of pinball-car-crashes in Portland. Undoubtedly, the most entertaining hoon of all was the person in the first SUV, as he made a home run on every car, or poll he found. According to Oregonlive, the West Hills Volvo XC90 driver who pinballed seven cars is a 79-year-old named Broughton Bishop. Luckily, Broughton managed to come out of the car bearing only a few scratches. But hey, what's a few scratches and a hurt ego compared to all that publicity he's receiving! Honey I shrunk the XC90: Mini-Volvo transporter for the European Athletic Championships

This handsome little fellow has been developed by Volvo specifically for the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg to take on the duty of transferring various objects such as javelins, hammers or discuses from the place where they land, back to the thrower.

Volvo hand built four unique scaled bodies (1:15), mounted on electrically driven chassis developed by the Nordic Sport company. The radio controlled mini-Volvo has a 2hp electric motor giving it the capability to transport either four discuses, three javelins or two hammers (2 hammers alone, together weigh 14 kg). According to the Swedes, this mini-XC90 can go up to 20 km/h.
