Audi A6 gets a new 2.8 V6 FSI 210 Hp engine

And oh yes, Audi has added yet another new petrol motor to its engine pallet. This time it's the A6 which gets VW Group's new 2.8 V6 FSI motor with an output of 154 kW (210 bhp) and 280 Nm of torque, available from 3.000 to 5.000 rpm.

According to Audi, the A6 2.8 FSI accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 243 km/h, consuming on average 8.7 litres of premium petrol for every 100 km (62 miles). The Audi A6 2.8 FSI will be available to European customers from the end of November 2006 with a starting price for the saloon with 6-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, 37.300 euros; the A6 Avant 2.8 FSI has a price tag of 39.500 euros.
